DAY 7: April 17, 2010

  • We had 30 volunteers come out and help, 12
    which were new.
  • Planted 183 1-gallon native aquatic plants(12
    species) in the wetlands.
  • Constructed, cleared, lined and mulched 50 feet
    of new trails.
  • 1000 feet of previous created trails weeded.
  • 150 non-native plants removed.

DAY 6: April 9, 2010

  • We had 48 volunteers come out and help, 37
    which were new.
  • Planted 86 1-gallon aquatic and riparian plants(10
    species).
  • 2.5 pounds of 15-20 native grass and wildflower
    seeds formed into mud balls were hand-
    broadcasted into riparian corridor and covered
    with erosion mats.
  • 100 feet of trail was raked, lined and re-mulched.

DAY 5: February 20, 2010

  • We had 25 volunteers come out and help, 12
    which were new.
  • Removal of a large Pecan tree that had fallen.
  • 100 yards previously cut or fallen non natives
    removed from creek.
  • 1/2 yard of Japanese honeysuckle and Linustrum
    seedlings were removed from pond bank.
  • 2 piles of non native brush removed.

DAY 4: January 18, 2010

  • We had 55 volunteers come out and help,  41
    which were new.
  • 4 acres(250 cubic yards) of Ligustrum and other
    non-natives were treated, bagged and removed.
  • 100 yards of trail constructed.  Trees cut and used
    to line both sides of trail. Brush removed and trail
    area raked.
  • 1/2 acre hummingbird and butterfly garden
    cleared so Norman Elementary kids can plant
    garden.

DAY 3: November 14, 2009

  • We had 29 volunteers come out and help, 19
    which were new.
  • 177 native plants and 13 pounds of seeds were
    planted in the pond outflow area.
  • 6 cubic yards of non native plants were uprooted.
  • 72 cubic yards of non native plants were high cut,
    treated and stacked.
  • 48 cubic yards of non native plants were hauled.
  • 15 bags of trash was collected.
  • Mulched 100 ft of new trail close to loop and lined
    with logs.

DAY 2: October 24, 2009

  • We had 41 volunteers come out and help, 30
    which were new.
  • 30 native plants were planted around the pond.
  • 225 cubic yards of dense invasive woody
    vegetation was cut, stump treated, hauled and
    stacked for chipping.
  • 65 bags of trash was collected.
  • Cleared invasive plants from sections 1-3 of
    riparian corridor.
  • Water quality monitoring for conductivity, PH,
    nitrate and dissolved oxygen.

DAY 1: September 26, 2009

  • We had 42 volunteers come out to help, 35 which
    were new.
  • 300 feet of trail was mulched.
  • 2 benches were installed.
  • 4 yards of invasive plants were removed from 1/2
    acre and mulched along the riparian corridor.
  • 20 native plants were transplanted out of trails.
  • 2 trails were trimmed.
  • 90 native grass plugs were planted.
  • 15 woody native plants were planted.
  • 5 bags of trash was collected.
